Jury trials? Attendance of the perp in court? Things of the past….
Thu 2:46 pm +00:00, 4 Sep 2025 1Two headlines caught my eye today, so I clicked on the detail
Both on the new State pariah, the BBC, I won’t link to them, look for yourself if you want
First,
“Judge in Epping sexual assault trial retires to consider verdict”
Where we find,
“Judge retires to consider his verdict. District Judge Christopher Williams has retired to consider his verdicts.”
No jury?
Why is that?
Why just a judge?
Shouldn’t all such trials be held before a jury of peers?
Not anymore it seems….
Second,
“Man denies deliberately driving into a crowd at Liverpool parade”
Where we find,
“He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via videolink from prison where he answered “not guilty” as each of the charges were put to him”
So he’s not in court?
So how does anyone know for sure that it’s him?
Shouldn’t justice SEEN to be done?
How can that happen if the perp isn’t in court?
It can’t can it…..
Call me old fashioned if you want, but these things matter as principles

Well spotted, I’ve just come on to Tap after reading them articles, just what the hell is going on. Two Tier Keir doesn’t seem to be doing it any justice, more like just make it up as we go along.
