I went to an Alternative VIew conference in its early days, and met Ian R Crane for the first time.

It was an amazing experience which taught me a lot, and I stayed in touch with Ian from that time until he died.

But this post is not about Ian.

I sat down for lunch on the first day, and a lady came up to where I was sitting and asked if she could sit with me.  Of course I agreed.

She opened up halfway through and, answering my enquiry, told me she was a medium.

I asked her what this meant.

She said she could see peoples’ souls after they died and she could communicate with them telepathically.

Whether I beleived her or not, I was not ready to hear about this, as life was rushing ahead at this time, so I didn’t really take in her message inwardly,

but treated her and her message in a slightly off hand way.

She then added something which was curious and I remember it very well.

She said she had received a message from her soul guide that she had to come to this conference, but she had no idea why.

She had come to the conclusion that she had been sent to tell me about what she knew, as she could see somehow that I was the one intended to receive this knowledge.

She described some of the things ‘dead’ souls, amazed to find they were still 100% conscious after ‘dying’, did at their own funerals, some finding the whole thing hilarious.

She instructed them to stop any nonsesne and take on board what they were, and what was to be their purpose from hereon.

She was teaching the dead how to be dead.

At that moment I was busy in my own life, and death seemed like aeons away and not entirely relevant.  I’m not sure I was ready to receive her message at that moment.

But after losing friends and family members, and experiencing inexplicable events so many times since then, I often think back to what that lady was telling me,

and realise it must all have been true.  I don’t know her name or have any contact details, if she is still alive.

But just possiby she might read this post.

Equally today when I am somewhat older, I have fulfilled more of my earthly destiny, and I am more acquainted with the events surrounding people passing away.  Now I find the message the lady gave me that day extremely interesting, and I have started finding the recorded readings from Edgar Cayce compelling.

In my autobiography I describe what felt like a trick being played on me by a very recently departed friend who was highly amused by what he did. (You’ll have to read it!).

In the light of all these things I suggest if you can find time, you also listen to a few readings from Edgar Cayce, published as videos/recordings on Timeless Soul Secrets on Youtube.

The one above explains what ‘death’ is all about and how you should be living now as you intend to be later after you die for your soul not to suffer confusion from lack of knowledge as to the progress you need to make.

Cayce explains that how we live now decides how we will do after we ‘die’.

LIfe and death are not opposites.  They are two parts of the same journey.

The living often unwittingly communicate with and are watched by the departed.  I have been ‘visited’ many times as I describe in my book.

The departed can deliver messages to the living, and organise coincidences to occur, being another form of intervention they can use to assist you.

It helps if you have some awareness that spirit guides are trying to help you.

Life is training for the soul’s great passage.

The after life is a test, a trial.

The time spent on earth is the training period.

People are amazed to find they are still conscious after they pass away, nd many  have made no preparation.

The afterlife is not an escape from who we are.  It is a magnification.

The destiny of the soul is decided by how we live each day now.  Selflessness, awareness of the limitations of material possessions, giving love and care to others, are at a premium.

Preparation begins now.  You should, in this knowledge, develop a much stronger sense of purpose about your life here as well as your life after.

There is much to learn here, and much at stake for each of us.

This is an area many need to research.
