British PM threatens teens with sanctions for refusing national service

RT.com – June 21, 2024

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has followed up on his controversial election promise to introduce mandatory national service for UK teenagers with a warning that objectors could face significant restrictions.

The scheme, which would see youngsters volunteer with community groups or join the armed forces, was announced by Sunak last month. He argued that the measure would help revive the “national spirit” and provide “life-changing opportunities for our young people.” National service in the UK, previously introduced during WWI and WWII, was ended in 1960.

Speaking to the BBC on Friday, Sunak was asked about the possible consequences for people who decline to take part in the compulsory activity, which would extend to all 18-year-olds, male and female.

The prime minister suggested that possible sanctions for those avoiding service could include restrictions on access to financial services and driving licenses.

Under the scheme, British youths will be required either to join the military full-time for one year or volunteer one weekend per month at community organizations such as the police or the National Health Service (NHS).

Sunak has insisted that the program would provide young people with “life-changing opportunities” and “real world skills” and would help create a “shared sense of purpose among our young people and a renewed sense of pride in our country.” A pilot version of the program is planned to be launched in September of next year if the Conservatives remain in power, and is expected to cost British taxpayers around £2.5 billion ($3.19 billion) a year.

According to the Daily Mail, the plan to reintroduce national service was drawn up by Sunak and his team in secret. The authors behind the 40-page document have argued that it is necessary to expand the UK’s armed forces in the face of “growing international threats posed by countries such as Russia and China.”

Sunak’s scheme has been heavily criticized by opposition parties.

“This is not a plan – it’s a review which could cost billions and is only needed because the Tories hollowed out the armed forces to their smallest size since Napoleon,” a Labour spokesman stated last month. Other members of the opposition party have accused Sunak of trying to get 18-year-olds to fix the problems that the government has created.

All part of Rishi’s job to shoo in the despicable TriLateralist Starmer into number 10. Great work Rishi, a real vote winner that – not. It not only alienates the already alienated youngsters but all their parents too. Which parent wants to see their kid sent to the Eastern front to die under the Russkie artillery?

The fact that he could say this in a so called election says it all. It proves that it is a fake election. That is obvious by a cursory daily examination of the msm propaganda machine. Relentless bad publicity for Rishi and his Tories, virtually every day

My local Tory MP, who is a good constituency guy, was caught betting against himself, despite a large majority last time out! Once last fat payday before he glides off into the sunset with his fortune enhanced. They all clearly know the plan, it’s so obvious…

    Absolutely, Pete.

But to the horror of those unsuspecting parents and grandparents, they will ultimately discover the policies of the Uniparty are one and the same.

I have been wondering what the university financial gurus will think when they lose this source of income? Surely this has the potential to mess up their calculations?

The Unis will maybe survive with foreign students I imagine danceaway. They are well overdue for a large take down. They are a large part of the rot that has set into our society

      • danceaway says:

Again, I absolutely agree, Pete; they are indeed a large source of the rot. The best place for youngsters is OUT of that system. Disengage totally.

That’s exactly what I’m telling my grandkids D. They know that I was a Grammar & Uni boy back in the day, when that meant something. It was all hollowed out as part of the great capture of all the institutions that has gone on these past 100+ years and more. Exponentially so since my time. Just the shell remains now for most of them

Ben Rubin on UKColumn News is doing some investigating of the Unis, and Cambridge in particular. Horrifying but not the least surprising. Ben reports on Fridays, normally, and is particularly good at analysis of these institutions which are all around us and springing up, as well as those which remain well hidden but extremely influential.

It’s all planned out and I would suggest the establishment already knows the outcome of the election. It will be meet the new boss, same as the old boss and the agenda and control system will continue as normal. IMO they’re all bought and paid for or compromised. Until we wake up and discover who or what the real power behind is and say no to it we’ll be caught in an endless time loop repeating the same things over and over expecting a different result every time. Madness.

“You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. In the name of God, go.”

    Yes, yes, and yes, John.

    • pete fairhurst 2 says:

      Yes yes yes, both

It is a fascinating world of discovery for us all. So much to reveal and find out about. So much is hidden, occulted if you like….

Never mind the mainstream, I cursorily monitor their headlines for contradictions and laughs. They really are jokers most of the time, they give me plenty of lol moments with the ludicrous stuff that they say and expect us to believe

Life changing opportunities?? certainly potentially life changing or ending.

    Pride in your Country?? seriously???

  6. John says:

Having no arms or legs and being in a damp flat with no money is certainly life-changing. You can guarantee the contract for national service has a clause for being deployed to the front line should any wars start when you’re in service. It’s a trap. Pure and simple.

  7. danceaway says:

Death jabs required, as well, or course.

    Blatant depopulation.

  8. PKinPanama says:

This is psrt of the depopulation war.

Those claiming to be our representatives are the enemy’s sock puppets.

We have to do whatever it takes to keep our youngins from being forced into NWO service.

In war, you fight with any and all work arounds.

Inconvenience of detaching from their system is nothing in comparison.

Of course all of us here know this.

My job, as I see it, is to keep the unjabbed OUT.

I hold out zero hope for the other poor souls.

    Fix bayonets !

    Makes me nauseous.

I’m all for having an army but have it full of warriors. Warriors never leave these shores and fight to defend. Soldiers leave these shores and go overseas to attack. There is such a big difference. A soldier is a paid mercenary in my opinion.

      Hello John !

      Sidenote:

I had a buddy down here in C.A. that was an Army Ranger for 8 years then served a few more with the French F.L. in Africa.

A Mercenary fighting for a few months a year for 1000 fedbux a month and healthcare.

We chatted during lockdowns and he stopped by after they were lifted.

I said ‘I know you’re used to taking all kinds of shots, but, you can’t take these, please.’

When I saw him again, mid ’22, he had aged 20 years.

I asked if he took the shots. He said ‘yes, 3’, because he couldn’t get into the community swimming pool without them.

His gf contacted me a few months later looking for cash and offering to sell their property to me… he had “died suddenly”. 😑

frenchbux, not fedbux, but then again, who really knows… eurodollars.
