How did this happen?
Wed 7:16 pm +01:00, 6 Mar 2024 2The man is 93, describing an event when he lost his car two years ago. Is this how West Mercia Police are operating? Someone should ask some questions as to who did this, and why? He claims the Police Officer comes from Shrewsnbury, has his card, name and number, which I have shared with other people. The Chief Constable should be asked for his opinion. I will ask him if elected Police Commissioner for West Mercia – Henry Curteis, English Democrats. I chanced on this story while leafleting. The man was still very angry, he told me.

One day, I witnessed an old man going the wrong way round a roundabout. It wasn’t dangerous, in fact many other motorists were laughing. He carefully weaved his way round, then went half way down an off slip road into the oncoming traffic which blocked him. He then reversed back up, but was met by a police car at the top. No real danger until the slip rd incident, but in the local press it said that he voluntarily gave up his licence. At the time, I felt it was for the best, but now wonder if the stealing of cars by police is commonplace?
In the incident above, the gemtleman said a farm vehicle shot out and he had to take evasive action, to avoid a collision, which he did successfully. I don’t know but the suggestion might be that the Police Officer whose name and number are held by local activists acquired possession of the car by deception contrary to S.11 Theft Act 1968. As for subsequent threats, that would be harder to establish but the man described the visit of 15 police officers to his home. It is concerning.
