That is an excellent platform for your election Henry. I’d vote for you if I lived in West Mercia that’s for sure. I might even vote for the Teds candidate where I live, Robin says that somebody will be standing here. But I still can’t find out who he is, or what his platform is. If it is similar to yours then, he will get my vote for sure. I think that I should be told….

Good cartoon from Ned too. He seems to have disappeared from the Tap after he spat his dummy out over something and nothing. Shame that, he posted some great stuff here. Come back Ned I’m sure you can find it in your heart to forgive whoever it was offended you [might have been me, I’ve no idea 😬]

Thanks Pete. Therese Villiers but she’s on a crutch these days. You might be better if she’s struggling physically. We’d do you a similar leaflet and you’d be front runner for Mayor in three weeks with some money to send them out.

        Thanks Tap

Villiers is an interesting family. Dukes of Buckingham. 1st Duke was James the 1st of England’s homosexual squeeze in the late 1500’s early 1600’s! They’ve been big in the peerage ever since. Is Therese blue blooded?

I’m very flattered by your comment about me but I’m afraid that it is out of the question, being totally outside of my character to put myself forward in that way. I shy away from the limelight and always have done

Yes, I was a Managing Director once for an family owned SME, and I did ok. But I learned that I was not suited to the top job at all, due to my reticent and shy nature in person. [Keyboard warriors R US!]. So I became a consigliere rather than the top dog and found my niche. I was a great devils advocate to the main man with the ultimate power. The role suited me very well and I was very successful at it in 3 family SME’s over 30+ years

So thanks but no thanks. You’ve got my vote though. I may even get involved depending on my health and my recovery from a very nasty bug that I’ve had recently. I’m using the salt inhaler that you recommended thanks. Too early to say how effective but I’m definitely on the up now

I can only find Theresa Villiers a Conservative Eurosceptic, Tap. Is that the lady? If so she’s jumped ship after a long time as an MP for the Tories

        I can’t find a Therese Villiers?

I’d go for Dems too, if I could, and agree about Ned. Come back Ned, upsetting you was never the intention. I apologise if it was me. Come back.

I agree Ian, come back Ned! No body was trying to piss you off, and you post such great stuff here, I’m missing it….

Although I would only apologise if I knew what my offence was and I thought an apology is appropriate. Certainly I’ve never set out to offend anyone here, never ever

Having said that, I’m anti Woke and a great believer that offence is always TAKEN, never GIVEN. So I can say what the f*kc I want to say

The modern woke way is the opposite of course. “You have offended me!”. No I haven’t, you have CHOSEN to take offence at what I said. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but names can never hurt me” was what our generation was taught….

I might vehemently disagree with what you say but I will always defend your right to say whatever you want. It used to be called Free Speech. A quaint, forgotten, concept in the age of modern woke totalitarianism
