John Pilger 1939-2023

Alexander Mercouris pays tribute to John Pilger below.
Australian national flower. It seems appropriate.

A short, concise and perfect eulogy.–YE

I can’t believe that we will hear him no more. Afshin Rattansi gave a lovely tribute to his friend on RT, as did Alexander.

It so happens that I have been reading an early book by him entitled ‘Heroes’. Although a lot of the stuff is old, it is amazing to me that MSM could have told such barefaced lies 50 years ago, when we swallowed them more easily. The sooner they are taken down, the faster we will have peace on the planet.

I have no heard Afshin Rattansi’s tribute (is he ex BBC Radio 4 Today?).
Alexander Mercouris summed it up very nicely here in 5-10 minutes.

      The West. Assange. Shameful.

I don’t know what he did before, but I’ve only known Afshin Rattansi from Going Underground on RT.

He did a short piece with Rachel Ruble on the day John died.
