Palestinians have nothing left to live for, and believe they go to heaven if killed in war.  Israelis have lived the nice life for so long they are unwilling to lay down their lives in battle.  They are taking casualties.  It’s causing them and the US to start having second thoughts.  The debacle in the battlefield is matched by one in the diplomatic venues of the world.  Netanyahu could soon end up in the International Criminal Court for his use of genocidal language.  The US wants Netanyahu to move on so the debcle can be brought to an end with a diplomatic process.
