Before you get your new hip, check this out

Medics describe the hip as a ball and socket coupling.  Roger Spurr says the evidence from fossils demonstrates that the ball doesn’t move at all but is fixed.  And the tendons inside the ball twist and turn.

I don’t know but it occurred to me that removing an old hip to replace it with artificial material might not be such a good idea.  Maybe the tendons can recover if treated with infra red and so on.  No money in that of course so no doctor will suggest it.

A Philips infra red bulb costs about £12 and four £50 or so.  Infra red stimulates healing of tendons and all other injuries….
