I was particularly interested in his comments about regular “resets”, every hundred years or so. This is exactly the same point that Jon Levi makes in his fascinating studies about old buildings in the most strange places, and all over our realm too, most countries. Often these were in frontier towns that the, obviously false, official history says were only founded a few years earlier. Places like Portland Oregon and Salt Lake City Utah

I’ll watch later Pete. I once watched one of Jon Levi’s where he claimed that some old pictures had no people in the streets, but in fact I believed it was due to the old film used then, which needed long exposures, and anything moving wouldn’t be there. I’ll watch these though.
