On Friday, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) opened a criminal case for inciting armed mutiny over statements made on behalf of the head of the Wagner Group private military company (PMC), Yevgeny Prigozhin. The FSB said that there was a threat of escalation on Russian territory. The Russian Defense Ministry said that social media reports about alleged Russian military strikes on camps belonging to PMC Wagner were not true.

I think the Russian High Command was furious with Wagners for taking Bakhmut which Western media wanted as a victory for Zelensky. That’s only possible if the Russian High Command is secretly under the control of the West. The Wagners captured Soledar first where Ukraine had a vast weapons cache and armaments store which enabled them to advance although they were short of artillery. Surovikin’s air force stayed loyal to Wagner and hit targets with guided bombs. But the victory at Bakhmut was not meant to happen in the western Neocon script. In WW2 General Patton had all his supplies cut off when he won too many battles too quickly, and nearly ended the war in 1944. He died in a car crash shortly afterwards. Prigozhin has nothing to lose and he understands the enemy control his supply line. Everyone will be playing a double game in Moscow waiting to see which side will win this stand off. As in the movie Valkyrie, based on an attempted coup against Hitler in 1944, in WW2, the power of the state will probably overpower the patriots and hand the war to the bankers requirements.
