The role played by the Russian Air Force has been crucial, using 500 kilogram guided fat bombs, dropped from up to 50 kilometres behind the lines. Russia is not mobilising further troops to fight in Ukraine, as air power is proving pivotal. Ukraine’s counteroffensive has yet to become apparent, despite NATO demands. If it is launched, the prospects for it are not looking good according to many reports.
