Schools teach very little of any real value to enable you to live an independent life.
What to think, not how to think.
I quite agree Steve Kettle. There is a good book out on the subject “School No Place for Children”, where the author points out school is military training – Children go in to the system and come out dumbed down and with a lowered IO. Where I live, people are so outraged at what they teach their children, that they are home schooling. An independent establishment has been set up and already has 240 pupils. The law requires you educate your children which isn’t the same thing as sending them to school!
The home schooled lose out socially. If you’re lucky you get a Head who will act on complaints and allow children to be withdrawn from inappropriate classes like RSE. Otherwise it’s a total nightmare depressing children with stuff they don’t need in their heads. HIV is taught as fact despite all the research by RFK Junior in his book The Real Dr Fauci.
It need not be like that Tap. The one near me is for those home schooling and is a supplement to education and the parents can send their children to as few or many classes as they like – there is plenty of socialising and interacting with the many events held there, many of which include adults.
