Legendary Russian Commander sent back to front lines
Wed 1:45 pm +01:00, 19 Oct 2022 2LEGENDARY RUSSIAN FIELD COMMANDER STRELKOV IS BACK TO FRONT LINES
Strelkov in early June 2022 said: “If I am called up for service, PMC, it means that the patriotic grouping of the authorities has won (in Russia), if I am imprisoned, it means that the liberal-oligarchic grouping has won. If they put me in jail, forget about the victory, if they send me to fight, there is hope for victory.”
Igor Strelkov became known after he headed the heroic defense of the city of Slavyansk in the Donbass in 2014. For several months, he and his comrades fought in complete encirclement against the enemy’s vastly superior forces. The defenders actually had no heavy weapons. When all the avenues for defense were exhausted, and only a couple of ammunition magazines remained for one fighter, the unit under the Strelkov’s command carried out a brilliant breakthrough of the encirclement and retreated to Donetsk with minimal losses.
Later, in 2014, Igor Strelkov headed the People’s Militia forces in Donetsk. In August 2014, as a result of behind-the-scenes intrigues in Moscow, he was forced to leave the post of Defense Minister of the DPR. This happened immediately after Putin’s assistant Vladislav Surkov was appointed as the curator of Russia’s relations with the DPR and LPR. Apparently, Strelkov was considered too uncompromising and principled figure.
After returning from the front, Strelkov continued his activities as the head of the public movement Novorossiya. Igor Strelkov regularly criticized the policies of Vladimir Putin and his entourage towards Donbass and Ukraine as a whole. Many of his predictions came true with amazing accuracy.
Since October 14 2022, Former Defense Minister of the DPR Igor Strelkov is serving in the ranks of the Russian Army in Ukraine. He came back to the front lines as a deputy commander of one of the battalions.

Ukrainian social networks reacted hysterically to reports that Strelkov was returning on the front lines.

Good to hear that Strelkov is back Tap and that the implication of that is, that the patriots have the upper hand in Russia, which I was beginning to doubt for a bit.
I guess all moves have to taken at the last minute to the surprise of potential opposition. Politicians have to apparently play things down the middle, and only move when there are no other options. Even Strelkov says he’s not sure which side will finally win.
