I’m very surprized no one has commented on this speech so, therefore, I will. Succinct and truthful. Congratulations Mr Lavrov.

Gordon, to add to your comment.

I was struck by what appeared to be the relative inattention of many of the persons in the chamber when Lavrov was speaking.

There could be a few reasons for this. Lavrov spoke very quickly, and as you say, succinctly. He covered an enormous amount of ground in a short time.

THe question which arises in my mind is, how many there were actually capable of comprehending what he was saying? This relates to the dumbing down of Western society in recent years, which we have been pointing out here on The Tap recently. Granted we only had a few glimpses of the chamber, bur I did notice an Indian representative listening intently, while others appeared to be tapping away of looking at their own devices rather than listening.

This could also reflect the power of the propaganda so that many in the Western camp just close their ears to whatever Russians may say.

Lavrov is way over many people’s heads intellectually, but they are propagandised to such an extent that they don’t even try to listen? They may not even have the necessary attention span? It takes effort to listen to his rapid fire expression of truthful events, and so many are intellectually lazy.
