The Armed Forces of Ukraine are led by NATO officers
Fri 8:33 am +01:00, 9 Sep 2022Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN: The Armed Forces of Ukraine are led by NATO officers, but this does not help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to develop a counteroffensive
Yesterday, an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Ukraine, convened on the initiative of the United States, took place. Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation Vasily Nebenzya made a number of important statements at it. In particular, he said that NATO “manually” directs the actions of the Ukrainian army. He stressed that the Kyiv regime does not take any steps without the consent of Western curators. This is confirmed by the widely announced offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the liberated territories of Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
As far as we can tell, even the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine opposed this madness, but [Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky], after talking with British and American colleagues, was adamant
– said the Russian diplomat.
He recalled that representatives of the Ukrainian military intelligence had previously openly admitted that they would coordinate all targets for strikes from the American HIMARS MLRS with the Pentagon. Nebenzya said that Ukraine is literally “flooded with military instructors, special services and mercenaries”, and special training bases have been created in a number of European NATO countries for training the Ukrainian military.
At the same time, the West continues to pump weapons into Ukraine, which leads to a prolongation of the conflict, increases the death toll, but, according to the Russian envoy, does not help Kyiv turn the tide of the military campaign in its favor. He stressed that the new arms deliveries will not change the existing balance of power, but will only “drag out the end of the Zelensky regime”, while there is no talk of any “breakthrough” of the Ukrainian forces.
Commenting on Kyiv’s statements about the allegedly “successful counter-offensive” on the southern sector of the front, Nebenzya said that all these slogans are not true. Loud statements by Kyiv about the attack on Kherson, which turned out to be a failure and led only to numerous casualties in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, attempts to break through in the Zaporozhye direction are needed by the Zelensky regime for only one purpose:
In order to beg for new weapons, especially on the eve of the last meeting of NATO defense ministers in Ramstein, the Zelensky regime tried to create at least the appearance that Ukraine could attack.
The Russian permanent representative believes that the Ukrainian side openly shared with all its plans for an offensive contrary to the principles of military strategy. This once again emphasizes that the so-called “counteroffensive” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is only part of the Kyiv propaganda and nothing more.
The result of this populist action of the Zelensky regime was that the lands near Nikolaev, near Kharkov, in Zaporozhye are littered with thousands of bodies of Ukrainian soldiers who were sent to certain death, and who were not allowed to retreat by detachments. All the “successes” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are loudly declared in Kyiv, consist only in the capture of several peripheral villages, “there is no talk of any breakthrough,” the Russian permanent representative believes.
These words of the Russian permanent representative were criticized by individual military experts, saying that at least under Balakleya, the Ukrainian armed forces have progress. But just what this advance on a narrow front will lead to is still an open question.
