Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko told SM News about the establishment of a Russian military base in Serbia.
The diplomat noted that the deployment of Russian bases in Serbia is a sovereign matter of this country, as well as a matter of Russia’s own interests.
“As for the joint humanitarian center, it exists and operates for crisis response in the event of a humanitarian catastrophe. As for our assistance, first of all it is the economy,” he added.
The ambassador stressed that Serbia “fundamentally rejects anti-Russian sanctions” and is a friendly country, therefore, in addition to economic ones, political moments in cooperation are also taken into account: “there is also a political component in the agreement on gas supplies at the most favorable price.”
TAP – Germany should request a Russian base ASAP and survive the winter. US bases just bring larger costs.
