You are right Aldous, money is a debt note except coinage. One only has to look on a bank note which says I promise to pay the bearer (various amounts in pounds) but it does not say how many pounds of what? However much earlier notes had, promise to pay the bearer so many pounds Sterling, which was silver. Interesting the new twenty pound note issued in 2020 had a disguised picture of a corona virus and a 5G Tower transmitting!
