More than 1 million Iraqis died in a US war that devastated their country.

Now China is investing billions of dollars there, building infrastructure and 1000 schools, integrating Iraq into its Belt and Road Initiative.

The difference could hardly be more stark.

      I agree Occams. On top of that, the bloody Taliban stopped them growing their smack, and that was a step too far. Luckily the US came to the rescue, and even guarded the fields for them til they got up and running again. That’s friends for you.
