Lockheed Martin shares turn downhill after HIMARS disappoints in Ukraine

According to US military reporters, no one has ever destroyed HIMARS in combat conditions before. The Russian military was the first to destroy this type of military equipment.
Various US and Ukrainian experts and officials were rather skeptical about the destruction of the launchers. Ukrainian politicians refute Russian Ministry of Defense publications on the destruction of US-made HIMARS. The General Staff of the AFU called Russian videos “fake”.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff army general Mark Milley claimed: “To date, those systems have not been eliminated by the Russians and I knock on wood every time I say something like that,” said Milley.
However, the reasons why Washington and Kiev cannot recognize the losses of modern systems may be a sharp drop in the shares of Lockheed Martin, manufacturer of HIMARS.

Today, the stock price has returned to its pre-war level on February 23. The decline began after loud statements about the delivery of HIMARS MLRS to Ukraine as well as after unconfirmed reports about the purchase of HIMARS by the Russian side, and later statements by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on their destruction in Ukraine.
Thus, there is no surprise that Washington and Kiev are trying their best to glorify the US-made systems.
