Patrick Lancaster’s team shelter from Ukrainian shelling in a Donetsk village home

Patrick and Sasha visit a village near Donetsk which is receiving shelling every few minutes; at the urging of a resident whom they meet they take shelter in her kitchen for some time. Eventually they decide to take a chance and rush off, with Sasha driving like fury down the country lanes.
With today being another day of attacks on Donetsk and the surrounding areas Journalists were racing to many shelling sites.
Our team, myself & journalist Alexander Sheremet, filmed many homes and the Makiivka Chemical plant hit by artillery and/or mortar fire.
After we reported at several civilian areas we went to Vostochnie Makiivka which was actively being shelled.
At least 30 shells rained down all around me and journalist Alexander Sheremet while we were there.
Many homes were damaged but we were able to report and made it to safety back in Donetsk.
This is our report while under shelling.

It must be terrible for the residents. That woman never seemed far from tears, but was extremely brave not to leave. Great video danceaway.
You are so right, Ian, she did seem close to tears, but trying to hold it together, and so brave. Not just thinking of herself, though, but of others, offering them tea and some of her precious strawberries.
When you see the living conditions of these amazing people I cannot help but think of the self-righteous wealthy elite like that Pentagon official in the RT article, playing God and destroying those who are the salt of the earth. It is both infuriating and heartbreaking at the same time.

There was a report from Eva Bartlett before the SMO, when she went to a village in the DPR and talked to an inhabitant. She asked if she could film the damage to her home but the lady asked her not to because she said when the Ukies saw the video they’d come back and finish the job.
There really are no words for such psychopaths.
