Johnson’s mob have got away with all of it. More fool us

THE Prime Minister said on Wednesday, the day Sue Gray’s report was released, that the hundreds of billions spent on dealing with the pandemic had left Britain in a ‘very difficult fiscal position’. So, there it is – what we have been telling you for weeks is that this cost of living crisis is a cost of lockdown crisis.

As I said on Mark Steyn last week, if you blow at least £370billion (and counting) on the ‘pandemic response’ including £65billion on furlough alone (this doesn’t include the separate self-employment grants) then yes it leaves you in a ‘very difficult fiscal position’ if a black swan event such as a war does come along. (A more detailed breakdown of the terrible figures can be found here).

What does the Sue Gray report into the lockdown-breaking Downing Street parties tell us? It tells us, that in the boastful words of the Prime Minister’s former principal private secretary Martin Reynolds, they seem to have got away with it.

And they have got away with it, dear reader, have they not? They have got away with trashing our economy, they have got away with lockdowns and they have got away with breaking those oh-so-important lockdowns on multiple occasions. They have got away with all of it because surprisingly the public still believe that lockdown was a good idea. A necessary evil.

The general public will not accept otherwise because they don’t want to believe what we knew all along, namely, that they have been had. The public was subjected to three pointless lockdowns (which the government clearly didn’t even believe in) for nothing.

The government didn’t believe in these rules as evidenced by the fact that while you were having your cancer treatment cancelled or your small business closed down again, Downing Street was partying like it was 1999. In fact, at one point, there were so many bottles the bin was overflowing. There was even a karaoke machine helpfully provided by the then Deputy Cabinet Secretary, Helen MacNamara, who (appropriately) had previously worked as Director General for Propriety and Ethics in the Cabinet Office. This was on June 18, 2020, during the first national lockdown when families were being shamed for going to the beach.

The truth is that it is still too dreadful for the public to believe that all the pain was for nothing. It is still too awful for them to believe that they collaborated with their own oppression. It is still too humiliating to believe that they might have even enjoyed lockdown just a little too much. As John Tierney in City Journal says, ‘Adults meekly surrendered their most basic liberties, cheered on leaders who devastated the economy and imposed two years of cruel and unnecessary deprivations on their children. They don’t want to admit that these sacrifices were in vain.’

The Sue Gray report also tells us what we already knew: Boris Johnson lacks discipline, Boris Johnson is chaos, Boris Johnson will literally trash the gaff if you give him a chance.

While they closed your local pub the gang in Downing Street were drinking in the afternoon, getting into fights, spilling red wine everywhere and leaving at 2am. Not only that, but Sue Gray was ‘made aware of multiple examples of lack of respect and poor treatment of cleaning and security staff’. You cannot get any worse than that; picking on the cleaning and security staff is just the lowest of the low.

In fact, ‘workers were left to pick up the pieces after multiple parties, including cleaning up vomit, scrubbing red wine from the wall and throwing away empty bottles left behind’. This really sums it up for me.

Under Johnson’s premiership, Downing Street was turned into a frat house. These people trashed the office of the government, they trashed the economy with lockdown and they have trashed the country. Now, we the public, are left to clean up the metaphorical vomit.

If you feel your rulers are laughing at you, it is because they are laughing at you. If you feel the elite have got away with it, it is because they have got away with it. If you feel that maybe you shouldn’t have gone along with the masochistic lockdowns – it’s because you shouldn’t have gone along with them.

Lockdown – the joke is on us.

At last somebody points out the obvious fact that these scoundrels in our government didn’t believe their own propaganda

All this partying started happening early in the first lockdown when there were less known facts about the pseudopandemic. Clearly none of the scumbags who were partying were frightened of covid in any way whatsoever. They clearly KNEW that they weren’t a risk. But they told us ALL that we all were at serious risk, while they partied on

I’ve not seen any so called “journalist” ask the obvious question about Partygate:

What did they all know about the real covid risk that they did not tell the rest of us?

A further Partygate point is that it exposes the “Johnson is near deaths door from covid” story as a fabrication. In the official timeline they expect us to believe that de Pfeffel was in hospital and nearly dead of covid one week. Then, a few days later, he was partying with his staff who were ignoring all covid protocols. Really? How does that make ANY sense at all?

They really do think that we are all stupid
