Ex US Marine visits steel plant in Mariupol with 40 International reporters; none from US

John Mark Dougan
I take you through the DEVASTATED Illich metal plant, the second largest metal plant in Ukraine (behind Asovstal). The plant was a holding Azov and Ukrainian soldiers, American weapons and all sorts of other goodies. In comments John Mark reveals they all had to leave quickly due to Ukrainian shelling.

It looks desolate, but it has obviously been swept for mines and boobytraps in preparation for this visit by the media.

Due credit should be given to Patrick Lancaster, who was the first journalist to gain access to this Ilicha steel plant, the day after it was apparently abandoned by the Ukrainian military – on April 17th.
