The Bolshoi Ballet summer season at the Royal Opera House has been cancelled by the Opera House; there is a bit of a revolving door between the directorship of the ROH and that of the BBC, so perhaps we should not be surprised. It is a financial blow to the Opera House as the Bolshoi season is very popular and consequently profitable. After the past two years the ROH needs to be filling seats once again, not cancelling them.
Stunning but what a shame that politics gets in the way of real talent.
