MILITARY & POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN KOSOVO, SERBIA IN MARCH, APRIL 2022 (MAP UPDATE)

- On April 4, Vucic declared his victory in the Serbian presidential election. He promised to remain neutral in relation to military alliances;
- The Serbian parliament called for military neutrality to be prescribed in the constitution;
- On March 28, Vucic offered Kiev and Moscow to hold talks in Belgrade;
- On March 27, the Serbian Army command assessed the readiness of the rapid reaction forces;
- On March 25, Serb rallies are held in Kosovo against the ban of the Kosovo Albanian authorities on holding parliamentary and presidential elections in the province of Serbia;
- On March 18, Serbia prepares to receive Chinese FK-3 air defense systems;
- On March 10, the President of Kosovo, Yosom Osmani, appealed to the German Foreign Minister with a request for German support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, NATO and other international organizations;
- On March 6, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic explained Belgrade’s support for the UN resolution condemning Russia’s actions in Ukraine by concern for Serbia’s well-being and external pressure.
