Deborah does not normally speak at live events, and it took some persuading by Ian to get her and her husband to agree to come to AV 10. She held the audience spell bound for two hours. At the end our heads were spinning with the volume of information she had presented. The presentation is below on this site.

Hi danceaway. You do know that video is from May 2019 and that Ian Crane is no longer with us?
Tributes have been paid to the opponent of fracking, Ian R Crane, who died last week (25/2/2021) after a long illness. Apologies if you already knew that.

Oh yes, Aldous. But much of his sterling work is still extremely relevant; it is useful to bring it and him to the attention of many who did not have the opportunity to know and appreciate him.

Thank you, Aldous, for this most beautiful tribute to Ian, one which I have not seen. I think if Tap had known of it at the time t he would have published it here. It would appear to be written by Scott Tipps.

Scott says that it is up to us to carry the mantle on Ian’s behalf. This Scott has done, for he has been instrumental in leading the battle, and a battle it has been, to get Lyn Thyer and David Noakes released from prison in France; UKColumn has also worked hard behind the scenes supporting David, Lyn, and their families, as well as informing listeners and viewers how they could contribute financially, which has been critical.

It is perhaps more difficult for us to discern what we can do individually. Learning and keeping information flowing was Ian’s modus operandi, and he was particularly fond of The Tap as a resource. Perhaps our participation here is continuing Ian’s work in some small way. Tap and I feel he is with us in spirit, and Tap has remarked that he is doubtlessly stirring things up on the other side!
