Southend West – close battle between English Democrats and the Tories

Let us push forward to victory!

We are getting VERY positive reports on the ground from Southend West. Despite our limited financial means, we have done an amazing and full campaign in Southend West for our candidate, Catherine Blaiklock. In fact, we have the town covered wall-to-wall with posters and billboards – much to the annoyance of the Tories!

Southend has had full and extensive leafleting by post and door-to-door

Our election team have also sent an election leaflet to every voter in the constituency via Royal Mail and given out thousands more on ‘days of action’ We have mounted a professional and sustained campaign in this very crucial by-election. We have also had a large poster put up on the A127 and smaller posters on lampposts in the constituency. We have really pushed the boat out.

English Democrat banners have been put up at all the main crossroads in the constituency and  we have organised a final push for voting day. Catherine has done several excellent interviews and done short articles for the local papers which have created a real interest locally and further beyond. She really is kicking up a storm in the constituency.

In short, we have done all we can.  The rest is in the hands of the voters and the feedback is very encouraging.

So much so that we have been told that the election may be close –  and is between us and the Tories! This is despite the Tories spending nearly the statutory limit of £100,000! So, we need to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and pull out ALL THE STOPS to get this campaign over the line!  It is NOW OR NEVER this week, so WE need YOU to go that extra mile. We only have days to succeed, so will you contribute what you can TODAY to Catharine’s SOUTHEND FIGHTING FUND. Donations that come in NOW will pay for one last advertising push, but by tomorrow evening we’ll be out of time. So I need you to act RIGHT NOW! Are you with me?

    The honesty and legitimacy of that result has got to be highly suspect.
    UKIP and English Democrats coming 3rd and 4th respectively behind unknown Psychedelic Movement in 2nd place!?
    Sure, everyone but the hated Tories lost their £1000 deposit but the total number of votes for all these parties came to a mere 2066. Rejected/Spoilt ballots were more than half this.
    The feedback on the doorstep during canvassing was one of hostility to the Tories. How on Earth can that translate into nearly 83% of the vote? It can’t.
    Robin Tilbrook should appeal to the Electoral Commission and a criminal investigation launched into the result.
    The sick establishment wallahs are laughing at the Electorate.
