Well said. So there are some honourable men in Westminster.

I agree nixon, they are few and far between however. Wouldn’t it be brilliant if we had a government who served the people honourably and decently.

I think we should start looking eastward. Lots of information on this link.

“He has a financial interest in the artificial intelligence company Faculty.
Some of its [Faculty’s] governmental and political work has attracted conflict of interest concerns.”

“Agnew had a senior role in the UK’s vaccination effort during the COVID-19 pandemic. He referred two companies to the PPE fast or VIP lane: Worldlink Resources, advised by former MP Brooks Newmark, which gained contracts for £258 million and Uniserve which gained an additional contract for £304 million. In April 2021 he was accused of a conflict of interest over his shares in Public Group, a firm helping companies bid for government contracts.”

I wouldn’t get too excited about this ‘resignation’ which appears (to me) to be a crumb of cold comfort being thrown to the Plebs to fool them into thinking that some establishment wallahs out there care and have principles.
Agnew is as on board and establishment as they come.

Thanks for that Aldous, as I did wonder how someone decent had managed to get into the government. He isn’t, and as you rightly point out, he looks more than 61. I’m 10 years older yet look younger than him.

G’day Ian. I see that Wikimedia Commons link I posted has been scrubbed. That didn’t take them long.
        Here is his Wiki page:

G’day Aldous. cheers for that, and yes he’s an old looking 61. My youngest granddaughter, she’s 14, and really sharp, sort of 30, going on 15. If I say to her, do you think I look like a 30 year old George Clooney, after much screwing up her face and hand wringing, will ask, have I got to say yes. Basically I look as much like George Clooney as I do George Galloway, but I still look younger than that 61 year old creep.

Counter Fraud Minister! Wolf in Charge of the Hen House more like.

  5. Aldous says:

Agnew’s Wiki says he is (only just) 61 years of age, having been born January 17, 1961.
I find that very hard to believe looking at his Wiki image.

I don’t look that old now and I was 60 a long time ago.
