    It’s a lovely idea, that the cops are there to serve us. A widely pushed idea by schools media etc. but just like the government is not there to serve us, neither are the cops. To quote a presidential advisor from Noam Chomsky’s book, “Necessary Illusions”, The role of the government, is to serve corporate power and the ruling elite, The role of the media is to control the ignorant and stupid masses”. He didn’t mention the police, but they, Judging by their actions, are there to serve the elite, by controlling us. Report a robbery and judge for yourself. They’ll come and ask questions. Tell you to upgrade your security, and advise you that you’re unlikely to get anything that was stolen back. However try offending a transgender person, or an immigrant, and I’m sure you’ll be made aware of how much the police serve you.
