A UCD professor has co-founded a travel agency to help members travel freely during the pandemic and hopes to organise trips to Ireland for St Patrick’s Day.

Professor Dolores Cahill, an outspoken critic of Covid-19 restrictions, said Freedom Airway & Freedom Travel Alliance (Fafta) would offer advice to members so they could challenge the legal grounds for the restrictions in whichever country they are travelling to.

She said Fafta, set up with four others from the US and Canada, has members in 40 countries including Thailand, the United States, France, Portugal, Denmark, Bulgaria, Canada, Ireland, and Australia.

Membership ranges from $100 to $500 and offers access to Zoom meeting updates, educational resources regarding medical exemption or legal challenges, and “participation” in brand marketing.
