The Thai rescue story seems bizarre to me.

It comes over as a media op from start to finish.  Politicians.  Football.  The military as heroes.  Nail-biting narrative.  Joyous ending.  Bar one sole rather good-looking supposed special forces casualty.  It could have been made for media infill while the real damage is done.  Tariff barriers.  Troop movements.  The collapsing Euro.  The dismantling of Brexit.

The story has been like a movie with the worldwide audience glued to their seats, all buying into every little story development, which have been spoon-fed to them on a daily basis.  My ten year old son said he found the story comical and started laughing at some aspects.  In other words even he felt it was all a bit unreal.

Typical reporting below, just like a movie.
