Afghanistan: America’s Endless War

New Eastern Outlook The US predicated its war in Afghanistan on the attacks of September 11, 2001. But the enemy it fights is an enemy of its own creation. America’s attempts to rebuild Afghanistan in its own image suffers from corruption, incompetence, and because of a determined, nationwide resistance to foreign occupation. Only by placing the spotlight on America’s ongoing, unending occupation, can policymakers be forced to bring the war to an end.
