EDITOR NOTE – MARCONI lists American troop movements and as stated, far too
much to list in detail here but these are a couple of them:
3rd Armored Brigade, 4th Infantry Division headed to Europe;
‘Iron Brigade’ led by 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 4th Sustainment Brigade;
The railhead officer in charge said; “A movement of assets like this from the United
States into Europe hasn’t occurred in decades. It’s huge for this type of brigade to unite
and lean forward with this mission.”
They will arrive in Bremerhaven then move by rail and military convoy to Poland
where the 3rd Brigade will consolidate before dispersing into Germany and six other
countries from Estonia to Bulgaria. It appears that this is going to be interesting……..
WARTHOG RETURNS – Information received from CARTER MANIERE, Member
#6352 we see that the US Air Force is retaining the A-10 Thunderbolt, affectionately
known as the ‘Warthog’ for its appearance. As a former Air Force Weapons guy,
HARRY COOPER, Member #1-LIFE, says it is a real eye opener to watch the clip of the
Weapons “guys” loading the 30mm anti-tank gun with ammo are not guys at all but gals!
Yep – there were female armorers.
