British media regulator Ofcom (Office of Communications) started an investigation against the TV channel RT.

As the newspaper The Times reported on Tuesday, September 13, the reason for investigation was the report of RT, which stated that the British energy company Cuadrilla throws poisonous waste off the coast of Africa.

“There is no truth in this statement,” the newspaper writes. “Ofcom will check whether RT broke the rules of reliability and impartiality.”

The Times recalls that before this case, there were 15 earlier cases when Ofcom found RT’s violations of broadcasting regulations.

Don’t know the rights and wrongs of this case, but I imagine the press in the UK is pretty tired of stories and interviews that they won’t publish being aired on RT.
