Snopes.com says it’s fake. You be the judge.
Here’s the story.
Deceased FBI Agent Found At Trump Tower With Silenced Pistol
SNOPES says it’s bullshit published by site called get off the BS
EXTRACT Get Off the BS also framed Trump Tower as if it were the private residence of Donald Trump rather than as a Midtown tourist attraction at which Trump himself is rarely present. If some shadowy figure had really been targeting Trump for a violent attack, he would have been better served making use of the candidate’s campaign schedule (freely available via his social media feeds) rather than breaking into Trump Tower.
The article layered on additional nebulous conspiracy claims, asserting that an FBI page about Bush “went down” after Get Off the BS achieved their big scoop:
According to a spokesman at the Newark FBI field office, Bush was killed in the line of duty in April of 2007. Coincidentally, five minutes after we got off the phone with him, a page honoring FBI agents who were killed in the line of duty, went down on the FBI’s website.
It is not clear what Bush’s intentions were for sneaking around security to presumably access the service elevators at the Trump Tower, however it does not take much imagination as to why Bush was carrying a silenced pistol at the time of his arrest.
Trump is in Florida today for rallies in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville. Trump has informed us that he was not at the Trump Tower yesterday evening and did not have any information about the incident, other than an armed man had been arrested at his building and that it was not clear about what Bush’s intentions were.
Contrary to those claims, a page memorializing Barry Bush is accessible on the FBI’s web site.
Get Off The BS doesn’t advertise itself as a fake news site, but the site does include a satire category and an “About” page that states:
Neither my wife and or I have any experience as writers. Although I have wrote and been highly praised on several of the articles I have written on this site, the majority of the articles you will find on this web site are articles from main stream media sources, that my wife and I have removed the bullshit about Donald Trump from and replaced the same with the actual truth.
Of course, any time we find the opportunity to bash his opponents, we definitely take advantage of all the liberties afforded to us by our Free Speech rights … the same rights these scumbags take advantage of to heap a mound of bullshit on Mr. Trump.
Shoveling up the bullshit, while informing the general public of the truth about Donald J. Trump and having some fun in the process, is the primary mission of Get off the BS. Thank you so much for stopping by. Trump for President 2016.
A similarly unhinged FAQ page proclaims:
Frankly, we don’t give a damn if you believe what we write or not. We challenge you to call BS if you have concrete proof we have published bullshit. In fact, we encourage all of our friends and family members not believe anything coming from mainstream, alternate and government media sources.
TAP – They claim to be having fun. Politics is not a game, and certainly not stories like this one. This is not a site operating in Donald Trump’s interests as it claims to be doing. All minstream US media has dropped objectivity to attack Trump. This could backfire.
The mainstream media can no longer report the news rationally because they’ve ditched objectivity to fight Donald Trump, the LA Times admitted.
LA Times contributor Justin Raimondo said the media that’s attacking Trump “may soon find themselves covering Trump’s inauguration” because the public’s trust in the mainstream media is at an all-time low.
“Any objective observer of the news media’s treatment of Trump can certainly conclude that reporters are taking a side in this election — and they don’t have to be wearing a button that says ‘I’m with her’ for this to be readily apparent,” he wrote. “The irony is that the media’s Trump bashing may wind up having the exact opposite of its intended effect.”
“Polls shows that journalism is one of the least respected professions in the country, and with Trump calling out media organizations for their bias, widespread slanted reporting is bound to reinforce this point — and to backfire.”
In other words, journalistic objectivity is dead; the media’s bias has made it almost impossible to separate coverage of the Trump campaign from attempts to tear it down, Raimondo added.
“Why are the rules of journalism being rewritten this election year?” he asked.
Especially with how the mainstream media is now fabricating “news,” such as the claim that Donald Trump will drop out of the race, as establishment reporters grow more desperate in their war on populism.
“This is the media’s way of communicating to the GOP establishment that this is their chance to finally be rid of Trump: Just say he’ll drop out and maybe he will,” Infowars contributor Jamie White wrote.
But mainstream reporters think they have far more influence than they actually do; in fact, they’re now so discredited after spending decades in bed with the political class that the public is routinely opposed to their viewpoints.
“Trust in the news media is being eroded by perceptions of inaccuracy and bias, fueled in part by Americans’ skepticism about what they read on social media,” the AP recentlyreported. “Just 6% of people say they have a lot of confidence in the media, putting the news industry about equal to Congress and well below the public’s view of other institutions.”
