Russia’s renowned S-400 Triumf air defense system will appear in the Crimea in August of the current year, Interfax reports.
“Upon the completion of the field firing on the 4th State Central Multipurpose Firing Range, the approved equipment will be sent to the place of permanent deployment in the city of Feodosia,” Deputy Commander of the 18th antiaircraft missile regiment of the 31st Air defense division, Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Oleynikov said.
The personnel has already undergone necessary training at the training center of air defense troops of the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense, the official said.
Last year, Bastion coastal missile system was deployed on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula. Many still remember how the redeployment of the Russian system scared the USS Donald Cook and what a whooping maneuver she made.
