Police plan Westminster lockdown ahead of ‘Million Mask March’

“This year we have strong reason to believe that peaceful protest is the last thing on the minds of many of the people who will come along,” Chief Superintendent Pippa Mills told The Guardian on Wednesday.

“Over the last few years this event has seen high levels of antisocial behavior, crime and disorder,” she added.

In statement, the Met police said: “Numbers are currently anticipated to be in excess of 3,500. Attendees are encouraged to wear a mask.”

“Some social media entries are actively trying to encourage attendees to cause trouble,” the statement added.

The Public Order Act will be used to confine protests to Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square.

The London protest will be one of a global wave of demonstrations by Anonymous, which announced in a statement Monday that the 2015 event will be about “building a better future through collective action.”

The group’s use of the Guy Fawkes mask and choice of November 5, Bonfire Night, are a deliberate nod to the historical terrorist.

Fawkes, part of a band of persecuted English Catholics, was captured and executed by the British state after attempting to blow up King James VI inside the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

Guy Fawkes’ image was popularized by the 2005 film adaptation of the Alan Moore graphic novel “V for Vendetta.”

Anonymous is a broad church of activists who aim to oppose austerity and state surveillance.

“While individual participants may have different ideas about what a better future looks like, they will be demonstrating together in support of Anonymous’ methods and the continued ability for people to congregate under their banner and take actions anonymously,” the network’s statement said.

Not too sure just what these sort of events could achieve. Much better to see a million people simply deciding to withhold their consent from a government that lies to us, steals from us, and is on a mission to make us all sick or dead. Murder, treason, genocide are the charges against these parasites, too numerous to mention. That we aren’t yet (peacefully) fighting back is the mystery of our age. I have suggested it for some time, and I still believe that the only option is for a massive movement of people withholding all payments, fines, and taxes, to any local or central government dept. And to start living by common law rather than act as slaves under their ‘legislation’. But do we have the bottle for it?

Agree on all counts, but how can we change the mindset of those still giving misplaced faith, trust and respect to an establishment not worthy of it? Many commentors on mainstream newspaper sites seem to be on a bandwagon that the people on the March were only there to create a riot, and that they were either the great unwashed, layabouts or middle class kids out on a jolly with reason to be there other than cause a disturbance. Sad. Many are too busy in their little bubbles, and don’t care a jot about major issues and finding out the truth behind them.

bluefeather, I am convinced that many of those comments are planted on msm sites. Usually less than 10 word comments and plenty of them to help create a consensus of (false) opinions.

I can’t shake the feeling that these events are being set up and used as training for if/when civil unrest really kicks off.

“I can’t shake the feeling that these events are being set up….”

Max & Stacy covered the topic of …RENT a CROWD……
      in the following link.
The topic starts @ 6:30 and, Stacy was quoting from the website cnn.com

The lucrative business of crowds for hire…….
“Next time you’re watching a campaign rally for a politician, or a glitzy premier, take a close look at the enthusiastic faces waving banners at the front.

There is a good chance that some are paid performers, If, they are it is likely one…Adam Swart….put them there”.

Swart runs an LA based business providing ….CROWDS for HIRE.

‘The company repetoire has now expanded to cover product launches, PR stunts and…..SOCIAL JUSTICE MOVEMENTS.
One popular sideline is using crowds to apply pressure to one side – or even both – of a corporate litigation dispute.

The role of crowd members is carefully calibrated.
Recruits are generally actors, who are expected to be enthusiastic but, not so zealous as to face arrest.
Critically they must look and sound authentic’.

“They almost always hold signs and chant and sometimes talk to media on behalf of the event”.
      Says….. Swart

Thanks beLIEve, that’s an interesting piece of info. It may help explain how things such as how they got people in cities throughout the world to hold up signs saying Je suis Charlie in white font on black background. The chances of everybody using that amount of black ink on a sign always bothered me and the penny dropped when I noticed the terrorists using the same colour scheme. Of course some will put that down to coincidence, but I think that is an overused term.
