Hunza Water ~ the Secret of LongevityIn 1963, Dr Patrick Flanagan was consulting for the United States’ Pentagon when he met the Father of Fluid Dynamics, Dr Henry Coanda.“Water is the most important thing you put in your body, but not all water is equal”, said the legendary Romanian scientist as he told Dr Flanagan about his quest for the Fountain of Youth for the past 60 years.

He had been studying the five mountainous regions in the world where people commonly lived healthy and productive life for over 100 years, and discovered that while their diets were different, the one thing they had in common was the type of water they consumed.One such region was Hunza land in North Pakistan, where the water contained certain silicate minerals that originate from the surrounding glacial mountains and the people drink the glacial water containing all those minerals.Taking over the research, Dr Flanagan discovered that these minerals gave the Hunza water anomalous properties such as a lower surface tension and freezing point. Other qualities include a high zeta potential, natural colloids, minerals and unique tiny silica.The Hunza water is substantially similar to the water surrounding our cells, resulting in better cellular hydration and nutrient absorption for the people who consume it.

    Well I never! It’s been a many long year since I heard the name Hunza, or Hunzakuts as my father would call them, mentioned.

    In those long gone days when I was a young boy my father was considered a health freak and talked for many hours round the dining table about healthy food and living practices and on occasion he would talk about a remarkable people living high up in the Himalayan mountains called the Hunzkuts.       The Hunza are also highlighted in the chapter, specifically it informs us that there never has been been single case of cancer reported within the tribe.

      Griffin suggests the reason maybe the regular intake of the seed from apricot kernel, which contains vitamin B17.

      Appantly, the oil from the seed also beneficial when applied to facial areas.

      “Generally their faces appear fifteen to twenty years younger than their counterparts in other areas of the world.”

      However, despite the benificial aspects to the Hunza’s well being, the apricot seed appears to enhance, the intake and promotion of vitaminB 17 is /was banned by the FDA in the USA.

      Why’s that?

      They say because the seed contains cyanide along with other chemicals and maybe dangerous to health.

      Griffin counters this with the aguement that the cynadide is only released when the compound comes into contact with a activating agent which is only found in sufficient numbers in the cancer cell.

      Hence the cyanide destroys the harmful cancer cell, not cells needed for the maintenence of life.

      Griffin ends the chapter by repeating a earlier statement:

      “While their fellow citizens are suffering from from cancer at the rate of at least one out of four, not one of these thousands (those that have altered their diet)has ever been known to contact the dread disease”

      Logic would suggest that there maybe a case for the intake of the vitamin mentioned, in the prevention of cancer.

      However, logic does not always enter the equation where profit is concerned.
