Sellafield nuclear leak. Can we trust governments to tell us the truth?

Radiation Leak Reported at Nuclear Site in Britain

21st Century Wire says…

Sellafield Plant, Europe’s largest nuclear site, declared a radiation alert today…

Reports and announcements have been mixed, leaving the public to further speculate on whether or not important risk information is being conveyed to the public. As is often the case with the nuclear industry and government – risks to the public are always down-played, and in some cases, major leaks and even meltdowns – are not even reported.

According to Reuters, “After discovering higher than usual levels of radioactivity, but later called it off, saying naturally occurring radon gas had triggered the alarm.”

The fuel reprocessing plant located near Cumbria in Northwest England, who work includes‘Magnox’ and ‘Thorp’ reprocessing. It is also home to one of Britain’s worst nuclear accidents which took place in 1957. It was (or still is) also a major plutonium producer, or ‘nuclear bomb’ factory.

UK nuclear workers told to stay home as radioactivity rises

Britain’s Sellafield nuclear reprocessing site has told non-essential workers to stay home Friday due to the detection of abnormally high levels of radiation.
The radiation spike was detected by one of the monitors at the north end of the partially decommissioned site.
“Levels of radioactivity detected are above naturally occurring radiation but well below that which would call for any actions to be taken by the workforce on or off the site,” Sellafield said in a statement.
Sellafield later tweeted that it had found no evidence of a nuclear event.
Sellafield management have sought to reassure the public that radiation levels are not high enough to warrant any emergency. Apart from the reduced staffing levels, the site is operating normally, the company said.
“In response to an operational condition on the Sellafield site a conservative and prudent decision has been taken, to operate the site at reduced manning levels, commensurate with safe operations,” the company said in a statement.
UK Energy Ministry said it is in contact with Sellafield and sees no reason to believe that the incident is more serious than what the company says it is.
Britain’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority said the source of the radiation could not be immediately established, but that actions were being taken in response to the incident.
Sellafield nuclear reprocessing site in Cumbria, northwest England, is currently undergoing decommission.
A Cold War legacy, Sellafield holds dozens of tons of plutonium waste from Britain’s nuclear weapons program. One of its buildings is dubbed “the most hazardous industrial building in western Europe.”
The site attracts anti-nuclear campaigners, partially due to a number of radiation leaks the site has experienced over the decades.
Sellafield closure was announced in June 2012, following concerns over environmental damage and terrorist threats. It has cost British taxpayers at least £67.5 billion ($106 billion).

If Britain refuses to lie down and act as a passive and compliant ‘member’ of the European Enclosure for Communism, we can expect to be taken out by other means.  Nuclear poisoning and contamination Fukushima-style must be on the attack list.

Sellafield should be closed as soon as possible.

The government’s been releasing poisons onto the public for years.  They’re no doubt still at it, and have many possible scenarios planned out for reducing population and eliminating difficult populations using poisons released in many different ways.  The Soviets were used as the excuse, when in reality the only aggressor we face is government, centralised power, which is centralising faster all the time.

It’s funny how the release in the UK is coinciding with unusual weather events, just as happened in Japan.

Well if staff have been sent home it clearly is a local issue.

the giveaway is the big mushroom over the Sellafield site.

    do the sheeple count?

ps its nice to know were balancing the global radiation spread just dont eat the UK meat

Remember Reuters had advance warning of the 9-11 building 7 collapse, the Company executives should be in prison.
If our MP’s will not comment on Chemtrails they should be in prison as 5th columnists.
We will have to be out on the streets ourselves if they will not listen.

29 Jan nuclear warhead moved to faslane base on clyde. No connection to radiation leak at sellafield, it’s use for weaponising warheads and the movement of weapons happening at the same time. Weapons came from another base entirely, further south and bypassed sellafield. No connection at all. Weapons do not leak radiation. Radiation leaks do not come and go. This is a coincidence and the warhead movement was not covered in the news, only on facebook and anti nuclear weapons sites. Even if a convoy transporting dangerous nuclear material passed through the north of England it would not show as a leak for a short while and then subside – yes it would. This did not happen, delete post

If you believe you can trust a leader foisted on us by the British bank owned media and elected by sheep, you get a *D-* for the day. If you actually voted for the piece of genetic slag, you FAIL, *F-*.

There was a massive leak in’53.It was covered up for years to protect our nuclear co-operation with the Yanks. And the name was changed from Windscale to Sellafield as part of the disinformation attempts.

Dear Tap.Sometimes these distorted letters are impossible to figure out.
I had to make three attempts to get it right for the previous comment. Can’t you make it a bit easier?

Here is a free, most comprehensive pdf about radiation and health, very interesting if you take the time to read it fully.
