If the motivation behind the Chinook Assassinations was to demonstrate to the republicans that ‘hostilities were over’ this would be an inconceivably radical means. It would seriously impinge on the governments ability to resume should any agreements be betrayed or breakdown. I don’t think the republicans went and disposed of all their leadership in return. Dug-up a few pop-guns perhaps.
Why did the UK not just let go of the North at the establishment of the Republic?
Do we really think they did so, to spare the loyalists – or did the loyalists exist as protagonists for the very reason of separating Ireland; to prevent Catholicism engulfing the country and then preclude separatist nationalism.
It is one thing for the English to hold Ireland to gather whatever tithe it could yield but another is to prevent its economic emergence in competition with Britain. Yet another is about defence. Northern Ireland contained the heavy industry, specifically shipbuilding: the economic powerhouse.
NI contained the deep sea ports that faced Britain and the controlled the Liverpool shipping lanes. Northern Ireland could not be allowed to fall from control. We did not want a Russian port in Belfast. The endless dispute, and enraging violence that festered, allowed Britain to refuse independence on the grounds of never capitulating to terrorism. It suited the objective well. Conversely, for those who truly desired a united Ireland, the violence prohibited any peaceful process that could have achieved independence in less that ten or twenty years of simple but tireless campaigning.
For those who did not comprehend the true nature of ‘the troubles’, the snake-oil Blair (spit) had on offer was: (a) for the republicans: the end of British involvement with Northern Ireland, for ever (b) for the loyalists: independence from the UK but anonymity and separation from the south. To understand how this will to occur is to understand how the regionalisation of the UK is to take place as it is progressively absorbed into the EU. Scotland and Wales are separate regions and will deal directly with the EU (hence the current independence shenanigans).
England will be nine independent regions with a faux national government at the outset. The UK will exist no more. That is a level of authority the EU has absolutely no need for. National governments will eventually be replaced by individual regional assemblies but for the interim this concept will not be allowed to blip on the public’s radar – too difficult to sell.
Ireland (Rep. of) is to be divided into two regions. The south had Cork and Dublin. The north looks like a jigsaw in an Oxfam shop – with a big important chunk missing. That chunk is NI. The logic is very elementary.
The Loyalists cannot cry that they want to be a part of the UK because there will not be any UK – it will be gone – just a dusty twinkle in a museum to housed in the Palace of Westminster remembering the old days of the United Kingdom and British Empire. The Chinook contained either those who would not back-down from a fight they did not understand the hidden nature of or those who were fully conversant with the fact; much too much so.
TAP – The separation of Ireland into two parts maybe owes something to earlier attempts to bring national sovereignty to an end, not just in Ireland but universally. In Ireland, the breaking up of the country is blamed on the British State, but as the British State is now suffering the same fate itself, it seems more likely that we are all part of the same longterm game. The situation in Northern Ireland has been most helpful in justifying increases in state power, and in providing a cover story for killing prominent British nationalists, like Airey Neave, nearly Mrs Thatcher, Mountbatten and literally hundreds of others. The Chinook is no doubt more of the same. If Britain’s top intelligence specialists are all taken out, our country’s ability to defend itself is greatly diminished, which is a long term objective of the supranationalists. The Irish troubles have done much to foment a loss of confidence in British democracy, and make the country more willing to be regionalised. The Troubles have served their OWG purpose.
I see the British and the Irish as equally the victims of The Troubles, which were funded by the CIA from the start. We used to think the CIA meant America. But America too is a victim of their power games. They are intent on smashing the American Republic, just as surely as the British State and the Irish nation or nations. All of us are planned for destruction, over a long period, and the direction of events is clear enough. Such events are not chance, but the result of centuries of planning and arranging. The Chinook is just another sign of how evil and determined are the forces that desire the destruction of all our nations and countries.
The Irish Nationalists unwittingly became the agents of the very people who are behind the destruction of their nation. In the same way Churchill persuaded the British to fight on in the Second World War against Germany for a supposedly nationalist cause, but the actions taken made the destruction of the Empire inevitable, exactly as Churchill’s financiers and backers planned.
Nowadays Cameron signs on for any and every war destroying country after country. Just as with Churchill, the end game will be the destruction of Britain. Only be destroying all our nations can the elite be sure of remaining in control, whether Irish, British, American or any other. Their longterm goals stand out clearly from the path of history, but never in the narrative that is presented.
If we adopted the Christian philosophy of loving our enemies, it would help us all. Irish Nationalists should see that their cause is the same as that of all nationalists. By persuading peoples to hate each other, and arming them to kill, the OWG advances its power. By ignoring their machinations, forgiving and opening up to each other, only then will we be able to frustrate them and survive.
