Assange Is Kidnapped By Legal System Without Charges Laid

This moment epitomises the abandonment of any pretence to a system of justice.  No charges have been made against Assange, yet he has been extradited to Sweden.  No evidence has been provided.  The mere request by Sweden to remove Assange is all it takes for a person in Britain to lose their freedom, and be sent overseas for an unknown period of time.  The next element of injustice in the Assange case will be the holding of his trial in Sweden  in secret.  After that, who knows?  There is no system of justice to even pretend that it is in existence any longer.  This moment will be one to remember, as the world, first described in George Orwell’s 1984, descends over us all.
