I’m holidaying in Puerto Galera this weekend.  Internet connection here is very slow, so no blogging as yet, but the boats run well.  Except not tomorrow they won’t.  A super-typhoon is gathering in the South China Sea (in European lingo this means a huge hurricane) and it is advised that few boats will be leaving the island if any.  There are worse places to get stuck, but last time the typhoon went over, there wasn’t one banana tree left standing.  Oh well we can eat mangoes I guess.

Lordy…will that that be the end of your diving activities too, I wonder.

Boats were allowed to cross to batangas. We just made it. The next boat couldn’t unload passengers, it was so rough as a nasty storm whipped up from nowhere. We sheltered in a church for thirty minutes. No one hurt but some were panicky on the boats.
