Why isn’t the news media paying attention to the human toll of the shutdown?
Tue 3:25 pm +01:00, 21 Apr 2020Speaking of unemployment, 22 million Americans have filed unemployment claims over the past four weeks. That’s almost 15% of those who were working prior to the virus. Countless more are working fewer hours and/or making less per hour. And this does not count business owners who currently have no revenue (but who are not eligible for unemployment), nor investors who are losing their investments.
