A comment made by John Wedger (the famous whistle-blowing police officer who was harried and hassled for his pains) in an interview struck me here.

His point was that compared with the populations of these towns (Rochdale, Rotherham, Telford, etc.) big places like London did not seem to be affected by child rapists!

While I am totally convinced that the police stood down for political reasons in these northern towns, isn’t it odd that no native-born grooming gangs have been found? What about the Westminster paedophiles? In my view, the Pakistanis, monstrous as they are, are being used as “look over here, don’t look over there”. And children continue to be raped and abused every day, in most cases their abusers having total impunity.

Completely agree. The Pakistani groomers are rightly investigated, tried and convicted (albeit too late for the victims). Conveniently, the investigations into VIP nonces invariably collapse due to ‘insufficient evidence’ or such like.
