Ottawa suspends thousands of children from school

TAP –  Immunisation madness is going to intergalactic level.  By the time school won’t take kids who don’t want to be sterilised by vaccines, it’s time to quit school.  It’s great.  Parents don’t have to worry about a non-attendance penalty any longer.  Just stop vaccinating, and you can get your kids out of their schools, by order of the State.  They will learn far more once they’re out of the sterile atmosphere of the classroom and visit the real world.  They can learn in a day what they learn in a week.  Home schoolers will tell you.  That leaves another free four days a week, plus weekends to organise sports, hobbies and work experience.

JULIA –  Good point Tap, the governments are finally allowing us to quit school !
Normally you can’t even take your child out of school prison for a family holiday. And education in the UK will soon be comulsory up til 18.

Don’t vaccinate, and you have a Get Out of Jail (= School) Free card!

The vaccinations are increasingly being done at school, as if school is now a medical centre too.

My son was off school with an injury recently, and he caught up 2 days of school in 2 hours at home.

It sometimes seems like the choices are getting more stark. The two sides are becoming more clear, either you are with the system, or you are out of the system.

SHAZZA adds –

Julia.. I totally agree with your above statement about ‘the two sides’..

I have to attend a meeting this week, with Education Welfare Officer at my child’s school… Owing to the fact that being late at 9.10 sometimes, has resulted in her being marked as ‘absent’

I am facing a fine, and have been threatened with prosecution if this does not improve.

We live a significant distance from the school (local ones are full)… but have been informed by the school this is irelevent ‘everyone has to be treated the same’.

Last year my child and I relocated to Sussex… no decent school places available – she was home schooled by me in between attending childminder and me working full time.. After waiting 4 months, still no decent school available on waiting list, we returned to London.

She remained advanced in all subjects, despite the 4 month gap.

I am sick of the dictatorial crap of the Education system… stressed out staff taking their anger out on kids, because they are having a ‘bad day’
Policies about respect, kindness – how the adults expect to be engaged by pupils/ but not in reverse!

My child and I under pressure with lateness issue.. public transport does not always allow for punctuality, despite allowing more time for the journey..

I have been informed by the school, I will have to ‘commit to improving time keeping’ (she arrives at 9.10 on average once every 10 days)…

Seriously.. marked absent if not there by 9.10!

Don’t even get me started on Ofsted and the devastation they have caused to the teaching system/ stripped away any innovative teaching methods… NHS and Teaching = down the toilet.

This country is the pits.

God help our youth

Shazza, I have written a post on Ofsted you might like. I was a school governor but resigned….

I have also worked in primary and secondary schools. It’s getting rapidly worse.
I remember having a letter home telling us what time our kids should go to bed.

School is there to take over family and home life.

I had the Education Welfare officer too. My child was sick a lot at the time, more than was allowed it seems. He was sick a lot due to another state intervention this one to do with being taken away from me.

POST
Hundreds of Ottawa high school students are out of school suspended over out of date immunization records. Doctors are fielding frantic calls from parents scrambling to get their kids vaccinated and back in school. School boards say they’re just following the provincial law on this. There is a strict policy called “the immunization of school pupils act”. Parents are warned months in advance that their children’s immunization records are not up-to-date. If they don’t heed the warnings, their kids will be suspended for 20 days.
16-year-old Josh Measures is supposed be starting his 20 day suspension today, along with hundreds of other high school students in the Ottawa area.
“Twenty days is a long time for not having shots,” says Measures, outside John McCrae Secondary School.

Suspension notice from Ottawa Public Health
On Monday, his mother got a letter from Ottawa Public Health saying he didn’t have an up-to-date tetanus shot so he was suspended.
“Tell the parents what to do and don’t punish the kids,” says his mother Karen Beutel.
Beutel says it was her mistake not informing Ottawa Public Health some time ago that her son’s shots were in fact all updated.
“He was up to date and maybe as a parent I didn’t know I was supposed to call public health and tell them but that was years ago and I didn’t know to do that. So to suspend my child was completely wrong.”
Josh is in school today, but twenty-two other students at John McCrae started their suspension today until they prove they’ve either got the shots they need or they get them.  Ottawa Public Health says about two thousand letters of suspension were sent out.
At a Barrhaven medical clinic, Dr. Jane Liddle says her office has been fielding calls from frantic parents for two weeks.  Dr. Liddle says public health is right in pushing kids to get immunized but she questions how that message is being delivered.
“We’ve got a lot of teenagers who are dealing with a lot of anxiety for other reasons,” says Dr. Liddle, “so to create one more layer, I am a bit concerned so I do think 20 day suspension is a bit harsh.”
Public Health says it’s following provincial legislation that requires proof of immunization. Parents would have received two warnings before the suspension notices went out, the first in November and the second in February.
“By the time we get to the final stage which is suspension,” says Dr. Carolyn Pim, Ottawa’s Associate Medical Health officer, “the vast majority of parents have already responded.  This final step tends to get their attention.”
Dr. Pim says parents need to realize the importance of proper immunization, not only for their kids but for others around them.
Dr. Liddle says if there is one positive in the suspensions, it has gotten kids into her office to update their shots and given her an opportunity to remind parents that they, too, need to be re-immunized for their tetanus shot every ten years.
This, coincidentally, is World Immunization Awareness Week.

Isn’t the Ottawa Health Public Health clever, they’ve managed to turn the letter “O” into “666”.

Shazza, I am with you on that one, I pulled my child out of school last year due to her been a target of a gang and the school not protecting her. They then had the audacity to report her to social services. I managed to deflect that, we had a social worker who was leaving the job for “unknown” reasons and my daughter was her last case. So we probably got one of the good ones leaving as they can see the evil coming in. She did go quiet when I asked if that was the case. The look on her face answered the question really.

Anyway, teachers are turning into a mini stasi, reporting parents and children to social serivces. Many have been totally brainwashed. To be honest, even though I managed to get my daughter into a good school another incident and I will just take all 3 out and homeschool them myself. Key Stage 3 is a complete joke really, far below what I knew at year 7 and 8 in school and you can cut out the Cultural Marxism training they get.

On a side not, I got Masonic in my data capture word check… today I get Koran????
