London Riots. Common Purpose.

Julia writes – Common Purpose… This phrase is sneaking into our language! In the Metro today, 124 years of sentences were given to the London rioters. The Judge said “The purpose, the common purpose, was to behave in such a way that the police would come to the square, and then to attack the police”. Is this an admission that the rioters were set up by Common Purpose?

‘Common purpose’ is a well-established legal term meaning ‘conspiracy’.

It has nothing to do with Common Purpose the fraudulent charity although Common Purpose members do act with a fraudulent common purpose.
